Randy is a Washington-based journalist who writes a daily digest column for Grist.org, the environmental website, and helps the Union of Concerned Scientists and others with op-ed columns. He also provides digital and social media training for journalists working for organizations such as Radio Free Asia. Randy has worked in digital media for 15 years, most recently as head of digital media for the Discovery Channel. He was previously senior editor at Washingtonian magazine, and editor of Regardie’s. He’s written a book on baseball in the 1970s, The New Professionals.
