Carolyn Clendenin

Carolyn Clendenin is a savvy, creative, and mission-driven communications consultant with a passion for telling stories that drive impact. For the past decade, her work has centered around a core question: How do you tell your story in a way that compels people to listen? 

Carolyn has worked with an array of nonprofits, elected leaders, and corporations to answer precisely that question. With her expertise in writing and editing, media relations, project management, media training, and event planning, she has helped clients craft their messaging, supercharge their reach, and advance their long-term objectives.

Carolyn has worked across a wide array of issue areas, including climate, health care, criminal justice, racial equity, women’s rights, and education. She started her career at Keybridge Communications, a firm that specializes in op-ed writing and placement. She then moved to the Raben Group, a progressive consulting firm. She has since opened her own Washington, D.C.-based practice.
