Shawna Seldon McGregor spearheads SMART strategic communications strategies and media relations, demonstrating her unique blend of creativity and compliance with a focus on measurable results. Shawna has deep experience representing a multitude of sectors, including clean energy, sustainable technologies, biotech, agribusiness, associations, and media companies. Her work in highly regulated industries includes developing and implementing hyperlocal public relations events, and initiatives to effectively educate lawmakers and regulators and ultimately achieve legislative goals.

Working at the highest levels of journalism, Shawna is passionate about distilling complicated narratives into digestible news stories that engage target audiences in the world’s leading news outlets. 

Shawna puts her background in crisis communications and expertise representing legal issues and cases to use on the board of the Colorado Judicial Institute. She is a member of the Crisis Ready Institute and has earned a certificate in Reputation Management. As a board member of the Public Relations Society of America’s Colorado, Shawna champions the chapter’s DEI efforts, and was recognized as the chapter’s 2024 Mentor of the Year.
